Who is H&M?
Hanne Rivrud and Monja Wiik. Both have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. They are currently working as artists and have a background and experience from the movie-, television-, music and theatre industry.

What is H&M?
They have during the past 3 years been documenting themselves by use of video. The different situations documented can be divided into 3 categories:

1. The deed
2. The performance
3. The analysis

In the deed category tasks from everyday life are documented, often exaggerating otherwise trivial tasks. You might say that H&M functions as the female equivalent to the two Czech puppets "Pat and Mat"

In the second category H&M spontaneously perform as a result of a remark, a prop or the situational context with which they are in at that time. Main ingredients are movie references and character interpretations. An example is their 3-week road trip in USA in which they pretended to be Thelma and Louise.

Performance
Spiderwoman&Bunny

The third category, the analysis, evolves through informal conversations in front of the camera. With complete dedication to "minor" details, emotions and "castles in the air" a picture is drawn of their perspective on the immediate surroundings. Their "brainstorming" is playful, spontaneous and endless. These conversations show the typical dynamics often displayed between girlfriends.
